I graduated from Crescent City High School (Crescent City, FL) in 1993 with honors. I attended Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education (Elem. Ed.) I received my certification from the State of Florida, the same year, in Elem. Ed (1-6). I taught kindergarten for four years, while obtaining two Masters Degrees. I earned a Masters of Arts Degree in School Counseling and a Masters of Arts Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 2001. I received my certification from the State of Florida in Guidance & Counseling (PK-12) that same year. I obtained my National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential in 2001. I recently earned an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida in December 2010. I received my certification from the State of Florida in Educational Leadership (All Levels) in August 2010. I've worked in the public school system as a teacher, guidance counselor and/or staffing coordinator (ESE or special education) for over 14 years. I was the "Teacher of the Year" (as a guidance counselor) for my school in 2007. I currently work as a high school guidance counselor.
In summary, I have a Bachelors Degree in Elem. Ed., two Masters Degrees (School Counseling & Mental Health Counseling), I'm certified by the State of Florida in Elem. Ed., Guidance & Counseling (PK-12), and Educational Leadership (All Levels). I'm a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I've worked in the public school system, as a teacher or guidance counselor, for over fourteen years. I currently work in the public school system as a high school guidance counselor.
